Multiple news reports have indicated that thousands more vehicles are being recalled by Volkswagen and Honda.
The official reports associated with the recall were released by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to the reports, both Volkswagen and Honda launched recall campaigns over crash risks.
The official announcement associated with Volkswagen vehicles claims that all units for the 2015 Tiguan vehicles have been fitted with certain Certification labels that may not contain all information concerning the correct loading and weight information. As a result, the driver may load the vehicle with more weight than the vehicle may take. As a result, the vehicle may be involved in an accident since the tires may fail. This problem is a failure to comply with federal safety requirements.
The company has indicated that all recalled vehicle owners should be contacted. Once they are contacted, the dealers should be able to correct the information on the certification label. The announcement associated with Honda’s recall shows that the company recalled 19,502 2014 and 2015 Acura MDX 2WD and AWD, RLX and 2014 Acura RLX Hybrid vehicles. According to the official report, the company launched the recall after learning that the vehicles’ Collision Mitigation Braking Systems may interpret roadside objects as obstacles even if they are just metal fences or guardrails. As a result, the system will trigger the brakes unexpectedly and unnecessarily, increasing the risk of an accident.
The recalled vehicles could expose occupants to serious accident risks if the vehicle stops inadvertently and Honda decided to act promptly to avoid serious accidents. While the manufacturer hasn’t set up a date to start notifying all impacted vehicle owners, owners are urged to contact Honda if they have any further concerns.

The NHTSA has indicated that consumers with the recalled vehicles that may have been involved in accidents should let regulators know.
