Such tire defects can, in turn, have a cascading risk of danger, as they can increase the possibility of tire blowouts and, ultimately, serious car accidents.

Important Tire Recall Info For Vehicle Owners

The specific tires involved in this national Michelin tire recall are the LTX M/S tires, which:

• Have been used as the stock tires for a number of different models of Ford vehicles
• Have been used as replacement tires for various types of larger vehicles, including (but not limited to):
  • Large-capacity vans
  • Lightweight commercial trucks
  • Pickup trucks
  • Lightweight RVs (and other smaller recreational vehicles).

While this Michelin tire recall was officially announced by the company on December 15, 2013, the manufacturer’s representatives started reaching out to vehicle owners as of yesterday to inform them of the tire recall.
