The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recently unveiled at least two more recalls that impact vehicles you may own or drive regularly.

These recalls should not be ignored, especially because they could expose you to serious personal injury risks.

The first recall campaign released by the NHTSA, indicates that all units of the 2009 through 2013 Kawasaki Concours 14 and 14 ABS motorcycles. These vehicles were fitted with accessories that could cause a 30-amp main fuse to blow. These vehicles were modified for police use. And since the issue only impacts police motorcycles, Kawasaki is contacting impacted motorcycle owners directly.

The second recall issued by the NHTSA along with the manufacturer impacts 208,858 vehicles that were fitted with certain accelerator pedals that may suddenly bend. The potential for bending may lead to cracks and other fractures. A fracture could lead to accelerating issues that may increase the risk of an auto accident.

This particular recall impacts only the 2014 and 2014 Soul and Soul electric vehicles manufactured by Kia Motors America between July 21, 2013 and January 8, 2015. The vehicles impacted by this recall could expose drivers and their passengers to accident risks mostly because a broken accelerator pedal may cause the driver some difficulty. The lack of control over the vehicle could happen while the car is in motion. This issue would suddenly expose them to a crash hazard that could even result in death.

Vehicles Impacted By Recall Should Be Fixed Immediately

The NHTSA has indicated that Kia car owners with the recalled vehicles should not ignore the recall. They will be contacted by Kia immediately and all recalled units will then be inspected and the pedal stopper will be fitted with a supporting rubber to prevent any fractures in the future.
